Lee Cohen is the founder and CEO of RedHoek+, a vertically integrated real estate development and general contracting firm operating across New York, New Jersey, and South Florida. Born and raised in Gravesend, Brooklyn, Lee brings a hyper-local, neighborhood-level understanding of the markets he builds in — a perspective that continues to set record condo sale price at his own projects.
Before real estate, Lee worked in fashion and product development, an experience that continues to shape his approach today: real estate development, he says, is product development — you're designing something, building it, and putting it into the world.
In 2017, Lee founded RedHoek+ from the back of a minivan, with no office, no team, and one project in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Today, the platform has delivered over $500 million in residential development across New York, New Jersey, and South Florida.
Lee's approach has remained the same at every scale: build what the market deserves, not just what it will accept.
